RS Group Placed on THSI for Two Consecutive Years, Reinforcing its Commitment in Multi-faceted Sustainability
RS Public Company Limited, “RS Group,” was recently selected and listed on Thailand Sustainability Investment 2022 for two consecutive years with its continuous commitment in sustainability development under its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles. This year, 170 listed companies were selected.
Surachai Chetchotisak, Chief Executive Officer, RS Public Company Limited, said, “In the past year, RS Group has committed its efforts towards sustainable development of our organization and handling various changes in the society and environment, while working closely with our stakeholders through the ESG model, as follows:
- E – Environment – Since last year, our company switched to packaging that is friendly to the environment. This year, ULife, the modern direct sales business under RS Group, has developed household products, such as washing detergent, dishwashing liquid, and fabric softener, that are chemical-free and environmentally friendly. Additionally, within our organization, we have extended our waste management efforts from paper to plastic for reuse and recycling.
- S – Social – RS Group moved forth in supporting diversity and inclusion. This year, RS Group and our employee volunteers partnered with Chatuchak District Office and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Rajanagarindra Institute to inspire and educate more than 200 youths on diversity and inclusion, as well as ways to handle bullying, through “Zero Tolerance of Bullying” activity at Senanikom School and Mathayomprachaniwet School.
- G – Governace – In the past year, we released the equality policy for our employees to promote human rights. Under RS Diversity policy, we recently enhanced employee welfare for LGBTQ+ to include days of leave for gender affirmation surgery, financial support for marriage, and days of leave for marriage ceremony.
Moreover, throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, RS Group sent more than 500,000 bottles of Camu C, the Vitamin C beverage filled with 200% Vitamin C from camu camu and high Vitamin B12, to medical professionals, vaccine recipients, and patients in hospitals under Department of Medical Services. The company also sent Camu C to Zendai, the non-profit volunteer group who provided assistance to COVID-19 patients. These Vitamin C drinks were parts of the efforts to support healthy volunteers and professionals in the front lines to get through the situation together.
